The article highlights the linguocreative aspects of literary works in general and some aspects of its manifestation in the novel of the English writer Virginia Woolf, in particular. The author examines the problems of identifying and researching the notion of linguistic creativity and its manifestation in literary work. It is proved that Mrs. Dalloway is a vivid example of the linguocreative usage of linguistic means and stylistic devices. At the same time, the main innovative techniques in the novel are the author’s unique syntactic parallelism, and an innovative alignment of the storyline. It is concluded that Virginia Woolf uses an innovative approach in describing social time, combining personages into one space and time area using original linguistic stylistic techniques. In addition, the article makes an attempt to explore the problem of the nonlinear flow of time in a literary text, making the problem of studying social time in literature and language relevant and requiring further development.
