Abstract

The review characterizes the content aspects of N.A. Dvoryashina’s scientific monograph “Keepers of a Bright Childhood: the Image of a Russian nanny in the works of Russian Literature” (2021). The author has devoted a large number of articles to this problem, and in this monograph has accumulated all the valuable discoveries in the field of studying the role of a nanny in Russian culture and in the upbringing of famous people of the past. Based on the works of writers and poets of the XIX century and early XX centuries. the socio-cultural cross-section of public thought is reflected in the definition of the attitude towards the nanny as a special class, as an individual, as a cultural phenomenon. According to the results of the regional contest "Ugra Book-2022", N.A. Dvoryashina's monograph was awarded the second place in the nomination "Best Scientific Book".
